Prvaha gives you full control over which doctors are active in your clinic and when they are available to see patients. Once a doctor is added and their availability is configured, their open slots are immediately usable when booking appointments — keeping scheduling accurate and preventing conflicts.

Adding a doctor

Doctors are created as users with the Doctor role. To add a new doctor:
1

Open the Doctors page

Go to Dashboard → Doctors from the left sidebar.
2

Click New Doctor

Click the New Doctor button in the top-right corner of the page. This opens the new user form with the Doctor role pre-selected.
3

Fill in the doctor's details

Enter the doctor’s name, email address, and any other required fields in the user form.
4

Save the new doctor

Submit the form. The doctor’s profile appears immediately in Dashboard → Doctors.

Viewing a doctor’s profile

Click any row in the doctors table to view that doctor’s profile. The detail panel shows: From the Actions menu on any row you can also Edit the doctor’s profile, Reset Password, or Delete the doctor.

Configuring availability slots

Availability slots define the days and hours during which a doctor can receive appointments. Slots must be configured before the doctor can be scheduled.
1

Open the slot scheduler

In Dashboard → Doctors, open the Actions menu (⋯) for the doctor and select Slot Config. This opens the full slot scheduler for that doctor.
2

Set the slot duration

Choose how long each appointment should last — from 5 minutes up to 1.5 hours.
3

Configure weekly availability

For each day of the week, set one or more time windows during which the doctor is available. Click the + icon next to a day to add a time window, or click the block icon to mark a day as unavailable. You can add multiple non-overlapping windows per day (for example, a morning session and an afternoon session).
4

Add date-specific overrides (optional)

Under Adjusted availability, you can add custom slots or mark specific dates as unavailable — useful for public holidays or one-off schedule changes — without changing the doctor’s regular weekly pattern.
5

Configure booking limits (optional)

Expand Booked appointment settings to set:
  • Buffer time — minutes of gap between back-to-back appointment slots (0–120 minutes)
  • Maximum bookings per slot — the maximum number of patients who can book the same time slot (1–120)
  • Timezone — the timezone in which all slot times are interpreted
6

Save

Click Save to apply the schedule. The slots are immediately available for appointment booking across the clinic.
If the clinic has standard schedule templates set up, you can apply one from the Start from a template picker at the top of the slot scheduler to pre-fill a common schedule, then adjust it as needed. You’ll be prompted to confirm before overwriting any unsaved changes.
Set up availability slots as accurately as possible before the clinic goes live. Incomplete or overly broad slot configurations are the most common cause of double-bookings and scheduling gaps. If a doctor is unavailable on a specific date, use a date override rather than deleting their entire weekly schedule.
